The Magneto-Rheological Elastomer based Haptic Solution, which CK Materials Lab owns, was not based on a grandiose concept nor interested in the academic approach. Haptic, a tactile technology, was a good way to visually explain the stages of softening and hardening the magnetorheological fluid. When affected by the magnetic field, the Magneto-Rheological Elastomer changes its material characteristic. At times, the traits of regular rubber vibrate and oscillate. CK Materials Lab believes that if the Magneto-Rheological Elastomer is applied to everyday devices, it could not only affect vision, hearing, but also tactility. Being overly serious or lofty is not the intention of the team. The team says that they would be satisfied if their coin-type haptic actuator and panel-type haptic actuator could make digital communication more enjoyable. CK Materials Lab already owns more than 50 patents related to Haptic Solution based on the Magneto-Rheological Elastomer in South Korea and abroad.
