Hoonida Kim explores spaces using the tools he devised. His works mostly take the form of installation, performance, or sculpture, and they often include intangible elements such as sound, air or vibration. He connects with them and delivers them to the audience through means such as sketching, recording, and printing. His performances are experiences through which the artist indulges the space with the audience, and also sensitive yet instigating actions that activate even the minutest elements. Float3 Space Composition performance or ‘Space Composition- A Sketch’ workshops are some examples of Hoonida Kim encouraging the audience to find things that were seen or heard but were thought to have been unnoticed or unheard. Through meticulous processes, Hoonida Kim completes his experimental craft of transforming merely noticed subjects into subjects of indulgence.
