Park Seungsoon composes electronic music and projects music onto other artistic media. Music interface that uses qualities of water, installations based on sound and light, and audio/visual projects that adopt concepts of physics or geometry are some examples of his works. Currently, Park is working on the Neuroscape series, for which he uses deep learning algorithm to analyze landscapes and develop audio landscape fitting to those particular images. In the process, Park thinks deeply about how technology can be applied to music and presents new methods of artistic creation. Instead of focusing on the original sound provided by the artist, he draws his attention to sounds that are played differently depending on the audience. In other words, he follows the transformations of sound caused by setting up specific events and situations in a space. According to Park Seungsoon, “how one perceives and experiences objects should be personal experiences for each individual.” The sound and experience that result from what was perceived and thought by the audience makes the artist disappear, and the audience becomes an active conductor instead of a listener.
