Creator Donghan Shin is trying to use digital production technologies to create a new production platform for the fields of architecture and design.
Creator Donghan Shin carries out research in and develops digital manufacturing technologies that can be used in the fields of arts, architecture and design. He is part of BAT (Be.Arch.Tek) which is a group that offer new manufacturing solutions with atypical designs. He wants to use industrial articulated robots for designing, manufacturing and installing customized units and for overall architectural areas.
Shin as a member of BAT has participated in projects like which used a new ceramic module manufacturing technology, which is an atypical brick-like module and which is a ceiling structure made with a robotics technology. He has also participated in the 2017 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism (Sewoon Shopping Center, 2017).
