Unknown (MJ) Kim probes the possible coexistence of humans and nature within the cause-and-effect relationship between the physical form of sound and the ecological environment.
“She is a sound artist and medium researcher based in Seoul(SK) and Hague(NL). Her work focuses on sound and music which is revealed via environmental sounds and humans while exploring sounds of the Psycho-Geography.
After working at Harvest Works, an experimental art studio in New York, in 2016 and Elephant Space Seoul in 2018, she studied ‘The other’s sonic experience; Bus 22’ as a part of her master’s degree thesis at Royal Conservatoire, The Hague. She continues to work on concerts with immersive sound experience, live coding, AI music, and creative coding using the newest medium technology.”
