Architect Sangwoo Lim imagines the very personal space and the very public space together. Lim uses design to contemplate the value of the environment, with focus on various urban issues.
Lim’s project is a proposal to install water drop-shaped modules with air purifying functions at public spaces like bus stations. The modules are made with elastic plastic and introduce new experiences of spaces to people. There is common understanding that air is much cleaner after rainfall, and this idea is replicated in the water drop-filled landscape created by Lim. His proposal thus demonstrates the advancement of technology while creating an emotional experience for the viewers.
