Media artist Sookhyun Yang takes inspiration from imagination rooted in contemporary technology and systems. Through this exhibition, Yang challenges quantifiable data and unconventional consumer behavior of today shaped by technology.
The project exposes the flaws of supposedly perfect technology by reproducing digitized data of a human body captured in a physical environment. By experimenting in both the physical and digital worlds, Available Data uses visual art to communicate the forms of data initially created intentionally by individuals, then interpreted into a different form by technology.
