Roomtone is a duo of VR media artists Dongwook Kim and Jinkyung Jeon, narrating the journey of humans in the technologically advanced world through a PC and console game project.
Layer began from a fundamental question on human existence that we may face when subjects that surpass human limitations and intelligence appear. Roomtone’s game is set in a world that has changed so drastically with the advancement of technology, that humans cannot shortly catch up nor fully grasp. As visitors take part in this 1st person perspective VR game, they may survive, explore new spaces, or go on a long journey to find the answer to the fundamental question from which this project began.
